Getting Started

How To Use Trust Agent

Think of Trust Agent as a marketplace where you can hire a trusted AI helper to do work for you — just like hiring a freelancer, but the work gets done instantly by a computer. No technical knowledge needed.

What Is This?

Trust Agent In Plain English

A Marketplace

Browse a catalogue of AI helpers. Each one has been checked and rated for safety before it was listed — like a background-checked staffing agency.

Hire & Use

Pick the helper you need, click Hire, and you get a private password (called an access key). That password lets your software talk to the helper.

Verified & Safe

Every listing has a Trust Score (0–100). Think of it like a star rating, but based on independent safety checks. Higher = safer. Look for the green "Verified" badge.

Step By Step

From Zero To Your First AI Helper

Follow these steps in order. Each one builds on the last.

1

Create A Free Account

Takes about 60 seconds

  1. Click "Sign Up" in the top-right corner of any page.
  2. Enter your email address and choose a password.
  3. Check your inbox for a confirmation email and click the link inside.
  4. Done — you now have a Trust Agent account.

2

Find An AI Helper

Browse the marketplace

Go to Marketplace in the top navigation. You will see listings for Agents, Roles, and Skills.

Agent

A general-purpose AI tool — like a Swiss Army knife.

Role

An AI that acts as a specific job — like a Finance Analyst or HR Assistant.

Skill

An add-on that gives a Role extra ability — like a plug-in for an app.

Use the search bar or filters to narrow down by category. Click any listing to read its details, Trust Score, and safety report.

Look for the green Verified badge and a Trust Score above 75. This means the helper passed all safety checks.

3

Hire Your Helper

Get your access key

  1. ✓ On the listing page, click the green "Use This Agent" or "Hire" button.
  2. ✓ A pop-up will ask you to confirm. Click yes to proceed.
  3. ✓ A box will appear showing your Access Key — a long string of letters and numbers starting with "ta_agent_...".
  4. ✓ Copy it immediately and save it somewhere safe, like your Notes app or a password manager.
  5. ✓ ⚠️ This key is shown ONLY ONCE. If you close the box without saving it, you will need to create a new one.

Save your key like a password. A good place is your phone's Notes app, 1Password, LastPass, or any notes folder you use regularly.

4

Use Your Helper

Two ways to get things done

Option A — No Coding Needed

Go to your Dashboard, find your hired helper, and use the built-in chat or task form to give it instructions in plain English. Type what you need, press Send, and read the result.

Best for: everyday users, no technical setup required

Option B — Connect To Your Own App

If you (or your developer) want to connect the helper to your own website or software, use the access key you saved in Step 3. Your developer sends it along with a task description and gets a response back automatically.

Best for: developers integrating AI into an application

Add Extra Abilities With Skills Optional

Power up your hired Role

If you hired a Role (e.g. a Finance Analyst), you can attach Skills to make it even better at specific tasks — like adding a Financial Modelling skill so it can build spreadsheet models for you.

Browse Skills, find one that is compatible with your Role, and click Attach. The helper will automatically use it next time you give it a related task.

Skills are optional. Your hired helper will already work well without them. Think of Skills as upgrades you add when you need something more specific.

Install As App

Use Trust Agent Like A Native App

You can add Trust Agent to your phone or desktop so it opens like a proper app — no app store needed.

On Your Phone

iPhone (Safari)

  1. 1Open trust-agent.ai in Safari.
  2. 2Tap the Share button (the box with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom of the screen.
  3. 3Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen".
  4. 4Tap "Add" — the Trust Agent icon will appear on your home screen.

Android (Chrome)

  1. 1Open trust-agent.ai in Chrome.
  2. 2Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
  3. 3Tap "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App".
  4. 4Tap "Add" or "Install" to confirm.

On Your Computer

Chrome / Edge

  1. 1Open trust-agent.ai in Chrome or Edge.
  2. 2Look for the install icon (a small screen with a download arrow) in the address bar on the right — click it.
  3. 3Click "Install" in the pop-up.
  4. 4Trust Agent opens in its own window, just like a desktop app.

If you do not see the install icon, open the browser menu (⋮ or ☰) and look for Install Trust Agent or Add to Desktop.

Why install it? The app version loads faster, works offline for browsing, and stays in its own window separate from your browser tabs. It is exactly the same as the website — just more convenient.

Lost Your Access Key? Here Is What To Do.

  1. 1.Go to your Dashboard.
  2. 2.Find the hired helper and click "Revoke Key".
  3. 3.Click "Use This Agent" or "Hire" again on the same listing.
  4. 4.A new key will be shown — copy it straight away.

Your hire stays active — you are only replacing the key. Nothing else changes.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. If you just want to use a helper for yourself, you can do everything through your Dashboard — type your request in plain English and read the answer. Coding is only needed if you want to connect a helper to your own website or app (and your developer can handle that part).

What is a Trust Score?

It is a safety rating from 0 to 100. Before any helper is listed, Trust Agent runs independent checks on how it behaves — like a safety inspection. A score of 75 or above means it passed all major checks. The higher the score, the safer and more reliable the helper.

What is the difference between an Agent and a Role?

An Agent is a general-purpose AI helper — good for a wide range of tasks. A Role is an Agent that has been set up for a specific job, like a Finance Analyst or HR Assistant. Roles tend to give more focused, reliable results for their area of expertise.

Is it free?

Some helpers are completely free. Others have a small monthly fee or charge per task. The price is clearly shown on each listing before you hire. You will never be charged without seeing the price first.

Is my information safe?

Yes. Trust Agent does not share your conversations or data with anyone. Each helper runs inside a secure, isolated environment. The safety audit reports on each listing are public so you can see exactly what was checked.

Can I cancel or stop using a helper?

Yes, at any time. Go to your Dashboard, find the hire, and revoke the key. The helper immediately stops being accessible. If you were on a paid plan, contact support to cancel billing.

What is a Skill?

A Skill is an optional add-on for a Role. It gives the Role extra ability in a specific area — like teaching a Finance Analyst to also build Excel models. You do not need Skills to use a Role; they are extras for when you need something more specialist.

Can I install Trust Agent as an app on my phone or computer?

Yes — Trust Agent is a Progressive Web App (PWA). On iPhone, open it in Safari and tap Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome and tap the menu → Install App. On a computer, look for the install icon in your browser's address bar. It installs in seconds and works just like a native app.

What if something goes wrong?

Every listing has a public safety report you can read. If a helper behaves unexpectedly, revoke its key immediately (this cuts off its access), then contact Trust Agent support from the Contact page.
